Meet the Pips
Three voices, a lovely blend, and a soft spot for a good song and a bit of sparkle.
Dellie
Drama Pip
Dellie is the founder of The Toodle Pips and has been singing, acting and causing musical mischief since she was a little tot.
With training in musical theatre, classical singing and performing arts, she’s performed leading roles like Calamity Jane and Miss Hannigan, voiced radio plays for the BBC and sung at the Brecon Jazz Festival alongside Soweto Kinch. She also sang for the President of Poland as part of European Day celebrations in Bytom, Poland.
One of her quirkiest roles was for BBC Atlantis where she performed the ancient art of ululating. Don’t know what that is? Google it for a giggle.
Alongside the trio, Adele writes music, loves a good vintage find. She works in marketing for a national charity supporting people affected by addiction.
Her musical heart belongs to Doris Day… like Dellie she has a soft spot for a bit of drama!
Favourite biccy? Choccy bourbon.
Random fact? Her own wedding was filmed by the BBC for a documentary called Barking Mad.
Bee
Soulful Pip
Bee has been singing for as long as she can remember, and after studying Music at Goldsmiths, University of London, she stepped straight into the wonderfully fast-paced world of session singing and songwriting.
Alongside The Toodle Pips, she runs a solo career, recording vocals and writing songs for television and media. You’ve probably heard her without realising… that’s her voice on the PlayOJO advert, and she’s also featured on projects like The Traitors USA, Diary of a Future President and more. A proper pinch-me moment was singing as a soloist for the Royal Family at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at Windsor Castle.
Bee also writes original music (including for The Toodle Pips), and is Community Support, Co-design and Accessibility Lead for Soundabout.
Her musical heart belongs to Nina Simone, though Doris Day, The Drifters and even Blink-182 all get a look in.
Favourite biccy? Anything with cream in the middle.
Unexpected fact? She walked down the aisle to the Jurassic Park theme.
Katherine
Dreamy Pip
Kath’s love of singing started early, performing in her local church choir and panto group before finding her feet on stage through ballet and musical theatre with groups such as WAWWA and GCT.
She’s spent years performing across different shows and settings, always coming back to what she loves most… singing songs people actually feel. She also spent five years working in a care home, where music became part of everyday life — leading singalongs, sharing songs, and seeing first-hand how the right music can bring back memories, lift a room and get everyone joining in.
Alongside The Toodle Pips, Kath works as a teaching assistant and continues to perform, bringing that same warmth and calm into everything she does.
Her musical heart belongs to a wide range of artists from The Carpenters and A1 to Jimmy Eat World, Gavin DeGraw and Def Leppard. One of her favourites to sing is Heart of Stone from Six.
Favourite biccy? Chocolate digestive.
Unexpected fact? She can do the cup song like Anna Kendrick.
So that’s us… but how did it all start?
Once upon a time...
In a little corner of South Wales. Adele woke with a song already dancing round her head
Not just any song. Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
It twirled through the curtains, skipped across the floorboards, and followed her all through the morning like it had something to say. She sang it while the kettle boiled. Sang it while she got ready. Sang it until the whole day seemed to shimmer with it.
And by the time the sun was properly up, she knew.
This was no ordinary morning.
This was the morning she was meant to find her trio.
Then the stars aligned...
Two lovely Pips. Waiting in Cwmbran.
From the very first note, something magical stirred.
The kind of magic that makes a room go quiet all at once. The kind that makes three voices sound as though they had been waiting for one another all along.
When they listened back to the recording, they could hardly believe their ears. It was all there. The sweetness, the sparkle, the swoon of it. A sound neat as a ribbon and soft as velvet, like an old record had sprung to life and put on its very best lipstick.
The very next week, the three of them found themselves in a little church, singing up to the rafters and letting the harmonies bloom. Song by song, note by note, The Toodle Pips began to take shape.
And from there, the story only grew.
Within their first year...
The Toodle Pips had sung their way through more than 60 performances from pubs to care homes, festivals to birthday parties, VE Day, Remembrance Sunday, Christmas celebrations, and even a grand 100th birthday.
Wherever there were people to gather, smile, sway, sing along, or wipe away a happy tear…
So that is how the story began.
With one tune, one dream, and three voices that were always meant to find each other.
And ever since, The Toodle Pips have been singing happily ever after.
